We formed groups at the start of my journey through new earth. We were divided into groups of two and the topic of food waste piqued my interest right away. I feel terrible about food waste because some people are starving as a result of hunger. It hurts to "just" throw it away. We began researching and discovered a company called "Too Good To Go," which is a fantastic alternative way of sharing food. It is a phone app that allows you to easily purchase a large number of goods that would otherwise be thrown away. They are also contributing to a circular economy in this way.

We made a folder and a video with the information to explain more about why they are doing this what it is and how it works. This will provide more insights about “too good to go”. See folder;
While we were introducing this company we’ve tried the app by ourselves by buying a box at a local bakery. We payed 5 euros in total and we received a lots of breads which we decided to bring to school and share with everyone. It was a really nice experience to have the opportunity to share the bread that was leftover with the whole class. At the end of the day we shared what was leftover with our fellow students.

THINGS THAT INTERESTED ME
FOOD WASTE

Every hospital has a particular smell, much like every city these smellscapes comprise a specific combination of odours. This project explores how the NHS hospital might be conceived and understood through its smellscape alone. Interactions of people, cleaning equipment and residual food and drink make for a contingent, intense and pervasive smellscape.

The virtual map requires you use your imagination to conjure the smells; from the weak and insipid coffee floating near the hospital canteen to the many bodies in the busy entrance halls, from metallic odours of stale blood emanating from the operating theatre to the sweaty, sticky, stale pong of the waiting room.

Research took the form of an open question snowballed to friends and colleagues of the Sensing Spaces team members and the designer. The smell descriptions were simplified from the original longer descriptions and collected into similar spaces. Smell shapes are an artistic interpretation of the descriptor.

Today in Selçuk Balamir's class, we talked about design thinking and different apporachies to the system that we are in. Which prompted me to think about it further. One of the topics that piqued my interest was open source patterns for DIY pieces of wood, such as those used to make a table. By localizing your needs, you contribute to a greener economy while also socializing more. By not shipping worldwide but making it yourself and building a network with makers, you are essentially carrying out an activist protest. I really like the idea that some initiatives provide opportunities to the community by allowing access due to an open source design pattern.

Looking at the initiative Groenten zonder Grenzen I realized how appealing the concept of this community is. It is about giving, receiving, and saving, as well as a small protest against food waste. This thought prompted me to dig a bit deeper into the topic of community. Finding more communities like this, but also wondering why so many of these communities are hidden in this big world. I'm only speaking for myself, but I know a lot of people who would love to join a community like this but are unaware of its existence. Today, I'm going to look for a few initiatives that are similar to what I'm talking about in this community.
The first thing that came up was "de Naaister." It is a for-profit organization, but I looked at their website and really liked how they express themselves as a completely accurate "Rotterdammer." The way they have written on their website makes me laugh, and it has an amazing atmosphere just from the website. I would love to visit their atelier. They did it in a very clever manner. For me, it feels very welcoming, honest, and authentic, as if they are my neighbors. This company offers a wide range of services, including clothing repair, dry cleaning, custom clothing, pattern making, printing materials, embroidery, sewing lessons, and workshops.
My second search was the reshare store they claim to be one of the largest textile collectors in the Netherlands. they do it with a lot of passion and love for the world. a lot of volunteers are working for this organisation. They have a few shops where you could buy second hand clothing.
where do I want to go
what am I researching
what will be the outcome , will that be an question that i am asking a few people or organisations and at the end that i am collecting all the opinions and answers.
what will the blogpost be about.
what theoratical research interest me the most.

I do want to head into the direction of the blogpost already.
what does commonners

why would they become commoner\
why are they attracting volunteer
counter
persona:\
what they have in common are that they have VOLUNTEERS

what drives people to volunteer
and what does stop people to volunteer are there barrieres?
are some people afraid of connecting or creating a bond with people
or are they

how do you collect volunteers?
how do you convince people to volunteer at a organisation.
maybe making a survey with questions

1000 words blogpost'\

plan:

visit reshare store that has volunteers and ask how they reach the volunteers or how the volunteers reach them.
what makes it attractive to become a commoner.

questions:

I never volunteerd before can you give me an idea on what to expect
how can i become a volunteer
